Saturday in the Park

Saturday in the Park Pride was founded in 1993 with the first "Saturday in the Park" Event. It has been the longest running Pride Celebration in SW Washington and often remains as the only Pride Event in the Greater Clark County Area.

Saturday in the Park occurs each year on the Second Saturday in July, and is held at Esther Short Park in Downtown Vancouver.

Community Awards

Saturday in the Park provides a venue for the safe and open expression of Gay, Lesbian, BiSexual and Transgender People in SW Washington. We also seek to increase the awareness of our community to the work, support, and accomplishments of SW Washington Residents.

As a result, the Saturday in the Park Pride Committee and Organization PROUDLY seek out organizations, groups, and people in SW Washington promoting the safe and open lives of GLBT People everywhere. Each year, SITP Pride gives to deserving folk the Community Award, Public Acknowledgements, and Specialty Awards for Excellence in assisting the GLBT Community to enjoy life to the fullest in SW Washington.
